Andrew Anzeljc wins American Academy of Neurology Scholarship! Andy's proposal entitled, Localization of α-crystallin-type heat shock protein B1 in mouse motor neurons was selected for the AAN 2009 Medical Student Summer Research Scholarship. Andy is the only student from OSU to be awarded and he is also the President of OSU Medical School's Student Interest Group in Neurology.
Elizabeth Renard Strikes Again! Elizabeth's poster entitled Diagnostic Assay for Distal Hereditary Motor Neuropathy and the Efficacy of Screening for HSP22 and HSP27 Mutations won first place in the category of Molecular Biology, Genetics and Therapeutics at the 8th Annual OSUMC Research Day which was held on April 2, 2009.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Renard! Her abstract to the American Academy of Neurology entitled Sequence Analysis of the alpha-crystallin type Heat Shock Protein Gene Family in Motor Neuropathy Patients has been accepted for presentation at the 2009 AAN Annual Meeting. Elizabeth is a medical student at OSUMC and a recipient of an NIH Roadmap Training Program in Clinical Research Fellowship to perform this work.
